Hi, yes i intend to get a full backup soon but i have it seems inherited a fault from the old site either in the form of a bug or hacker. I recently installed a counter called
gcount, in it's own folder in public_html.
It has inside a logs folder where there are 2 files, dd2maps.log, and dd2maps.txt.
They both keep a record of visits.
On the old site i used to get a row of zeros as if the logs had been reset to 000000.
Luckily i update the same logs on my pc since it started happening long ago. Yesterday i had to re-upload the logs as they had once again gone to zero.
I have tried myself to get into the page outside the site and i get, Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /gcount/ on this server.
Do you have any idea how this could happen without going into it through ftp ? :?

It might not b a hack like u think it is, but might just b an issue with GCOUNT. It's hard to say, but would u should do is talk to the Author of GCount and ask them why its getting the ZERO's.
